EuroHockey Championships trip

On Monday, 20th August 2007, a coach load of Fry's members and Wellsway School students went to watch the EuroHockey Championships in Manchester at the Belle Vue stadium.

England v Italy

The day was organised to help build on the strong link that exists between Fry's and Wellsway School.

England went on to win 4-0.

Even the mascots got wet from watering the pitch!

England went on to beat the Czech Republic 7-0 including a hat-trick of penalty-corner goals from Richard Mantell.

Everyone returned to Wellsway at 1am the following morning.  It had been a long, but extremely enjoyable day.  Plans are already afoot for a trip to watch the Olympic Hockey tournament in London in 2012!
